Grabbit (“we”, “us”, or “our”) is committed to protecting your privacy. This Privacy Policy explains how we collect, use, and safeguard your information when you use the Grabbit Chrome Extension.

We believe in data minimization. We only collect the minimum information necessary to provide Grabbit Premium and related services. We do not sell, trade, or rent your personal information to third parties for advertising or marketing purposes.

Information We Collect

1. Personal Information (Account Data)

When you subscribe to Grabbit Premium, we collect your email address.

Purpose

  • Verify your subscription.
  • Identify your account across devices.
  • Manage your monthly AI credits.

2. Usage Data

We track your interaction with Grabbit’s AI features solely for managing subscription limits.

This includes:

  • AI credits consumed
  • Remaining monthly credits

3. Payment Information

We never collect or store your payment card information.

Payments are securely processed by Stripe through ExtensionPay.

We only receive information necessary to manage your subscription, including:

  • Subscription status
  • Stripe Customer ID

4. Content Data (Transient Processing)

When you use AI features such as Product Comparison or AI Summaries, Grabbit temporarily processes the selected content.

The selected text is securely transmitted to our backend, which forwards it to OpenRouter for AI processing.

We do not permanently store the webpage or video content you submit. It is processed solely to generate the requested result and discarded afterwards.

Local Storage

Grabbit stores certain preferences locally on your device using Chrome Storage.

Examples include:

  • Highlight colors
  • Keyboard shortcuts
  • Exclusion filters
  • Extension preferences

This information never leaves your browser.

Third-Party Services

Grabbit relies on trusted third-party providers to deliver its services.

  • ExtensionPay – Subscription management
  • Stripe – Payment processing
  • OpenRouter – AI processing

These providers process only the information required to perform their respective services.

Business Transfers

Grabbit and its related assets may be transferred as part of a merger, acquisition, investment, restructuring, sale of assets, or similar business transaction.

If such a transaction occurs, the personal information reasonably necessary to continue providing Grabbit Premium may be transferred to the new owner or operator.

This may include:

  • Your name (if provided)
  • Your email address
  • Your subscription status
  • Stripe Customer ID or equivalent subscription identifier
  • Your remaining AI credits
  • Account preferences required to continue providing the service

Payment card information is never stored by Grabbit and is never transferred. Payment information remains securely managed by Stripe.

Any successor owner will become responsible for protecting your personal information in accordance with applicable privacy laws.

Where required by law, users will be notified of material changes affecting the processing of their personal information.
